Notes
Why it is interesting: the bias supply is a UCC14240-Q1 module with an integrated transformer, so there is no discrete transformer to design or qualify. The output voltage is resistor-programmable, and it runs from a single 24 V bench supply. The test report shows soft start of both rails and regulation while the driver switches from 1 kHz to 35 kHz. The board plugs directly onto a Wolfspeed SiC module.
Check: with 1.5 W, ΔV_gs = 22 V and Q_g = 1 µC (large module), f_sw,max ≈ 1.5 / (1e-6 × 22) ≈ 68 kHz. That is fine for traction, tight for OBC-type frequencies. The isolation rating listed is that of the gate-driver IC; the bias module’s own isolation rating is lower (> 3 kVrms per TI’s UCC14240 description), so the board-level barrier is set by the weaker of the two.
