Sachin Yadav
I am a power electronics engineer based in Amsterdam. I received my PhD (Dr. ir.) in Electrical Engineering from TU Delft, where my research focused on wide-bandgap (SiC and GaN) power converters, their modulation methods, and validating control strategies with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation.
Today my work spans the full path from the switching cell to the system: converter and gate-drive design, high-voltage PCB layout, precision analog signal chains, industrial motion control, and PLC-based automation.
I currently work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Delft (0.4 fte) and as an R&D Electrical and Electronics Engineer (0.6 fte) at Silicon B.V.
Research & engineering interests
- Wide-bandgap power conversion: SiC/GaN converter design, switching behaviour, loss modelling and thermal design
- Modulation & control: PWM and modulation strategies, converter control, and their experimental validation
- Hardware-in-the-loop: real-time simulation for de-risking controllers before they meet high-voltage hardware
- Hardware design: high-voltage and power PCB layout (KiCad), precision analog front-ends and multi-channel ADC signal chains
- Industrial automation: motion control, CANopen/CiA 402 drives and CODESYS/WAGO PLC development
